Textbook Assignment 5:
Shannon
and Dean Hale created a graphic novel combining
a fairy
tale and a western. Rapunzel’s story has been moved from the typical
fairy tale genre into a more
darker genre. Rapunzel must save herself, but must also become the heroine
who saves everyone from an evil ruler. Illustrations done by
Nathan Hale uses humor,
color and perspective to improve the
storytelling and keep the reader’s attention between pictures
and words.
